About donutsmp
DonutSMP is a large crossplay survival server built around open PvP, a player-driven economy and a world that is not regularly reset. The combination places it toward the harsher end of survival. Conflict is unrestricted, so accumulated wealth and equipment are permanently at risk from other players, and there is no protection system standing between what you have built and someone who wants it. That makes the economy genuinely consequential — currency and goods have value precisely because holding onto them requires effort, and a player's standing reflects what they have managed to keep rather than merely what they have gathered. Persistence compounds this. A world that is not wiped accumulates its own history: established bases, exhausted regions, known routes and long-running rivalries all carry forward. Reputation becomes durable in a way that reset-driven servers never allow, and both alliances and grudges outlast any single session. Trading is central to how most players operate. In an environment where anything can be taken, moving goods and negotiating deals carries real risk, and the players who do well are frequently those who are good at arranging things rather than those who win fights. donutsmp.net answers either edition, with support reaching back through older clients as well as current releases, hosted in North America. Newcomers should treat the opening hours defensively. Building anything conspicuous near spawn on a server of this kind reliably ends badly, and the standard approach — travel a long distance, establish somewhere unremarkable, and avoid announcing coordinates — applies here as it does anywhere that conflict is unrestricted. Players who absorb that early tend to last considerably longer than those who learn it by losing a base. Reputation outlasts everything else on a world that is never wiped. Nothing is protected, so what you keep is what you managed to defend.
