OPBlocks

OPBlocks is a crossplay Minecraft network built on four pillars: prison, island survival, a conventional SMP and a Cobblemon world. Its prison world runs on an internal economy rather than on combat. Ore extracted from tiered mines converts to currency, currency buys entry to richer mines, and the loop repeats through a lettered ladder with prestige tiers waiting past the end of it. What determines whether such a world holds anyone is the shape of its payout curve — too flat and players stall in the opening hours, too steep and the later tiers become meaningless. It appeals to people who want a number that visibly moves every session. The island world starts from near-nothing suspended over empty space, where the constraint is not danger but scarcity: every block has to be manufactured from a tiny starting kit, and the sky underneath punishes inattention permanently. The SMP drops both constraints for players who would rather have an ordinary map to explore. The Cobblemon world, newest of the four, layers creature capture and battling over survival through the Cobblemon mod. Addresses differ by edition. Java clients use opblocks.com; Bedrock clients need bedrock.opblocks.com on port 19132. Anything from 1.8 to 1.21 will connect, spanning the legacy combat releases through to current builds, on hardware located in the United States. Running four worlds across two editions is more work than it appears from the outside. Every mode has to be built twice over, since Bedrock and Java differ in movement, combat timing and what plugins can reach — which is why most networks carrying this many modes quietly restrict some of them to Java. Keeping the full rotation open to both editions is the substantive claim here, and the reason a group split across desktop, console and phone can stay together. The Cobblemon world is the exception worth checking before you plan around it, since mod-dependent worlds have historically been the hardest to open to Bedrock clients.
