Oneblocky is built on the OneBlock format, where the entire world starts as a single block that regenerates endlessly as you break it. The format is elegantly self-contained. There is nowhere to walk to and nothing to find; everything you will ever own comes out of a single repeating point, and the block's output shifts as you progress, moving through themed phases that supply new materials and hazards. Early phases hand over dirt and stone; later ones deliver rarer resources and occasionally something that fights back. Progression is therefore measured in phases cleared, and the phase count is the honest indicator of how much content a OneBlock server actually contains. More than thirty phases is a substantial run, enough to keep the central loop from exhausting itself before players have built anything worth keeping. Layered on top are quests giving structure to open-ended mining, an employment system providing income streams beyond selling raw output, and minions that automate portions of the grind once the manual version has been demonstrated. Decorative furniture and a levelling system round it out, aimed at players who want their island to look considered rather than merely functional. OneBlock rewards a particular temperament.
