Cobblemon.gg is a dedicated server for Cobblemon, the mod that layers creature capture, training and turn-based battling over ordinary Minecraft survival. Building a server specifically around one mod rather than adding it to an existing network has consequences for how far the customisation goes. Terrain here is shaped to suit the mod's logic, with biomes arranged so that different creature types have coherent places to appear, which makes exploration purposeful — you travel somewhere because of what lives there, not merely to see it. Quest content is written around the mod's own fiction rather than being generic fetch tasks with creature names substituted in. Battling and training form the competitive spine, with organised events and tournaments giving trained teams a reason to exist beyond personal satisfaction. Development runs on a regular update cadence, which matters more for modded servers than vanilla ones: the underlying mod itself evolves, and a server that falls behind its upstream loses access to new creatures and mechanics that players will already have heard about. Joining requires the modpack rather than just an address. hub.cobblemon.gg is the destination, on Minecraft 1.21, and installation instructions are published on the server's own site. This is necessarily Java Edition only — the mod does not exist for Bedrock — so console and mobile clients are excluded by the technology, not by choice. Hosting is North American. Anyone new to modded Minecraft should expect the setup to take a little time: a launcher capable of handling modpacks, the pack itself, and a first launch that takes noticeably longer than vanilla. For players who want the creature-collection loop as the whole game rather than a side attraction bolted onto a network, a single-purpose server is the more thorough version of it. The trade-off is that when the mod loses your interest there is nothing else on the address to move to.
