About Minecraft 1.7 Servers
Minecraft 1.7, "The Update that Changed the World," dramatically expanded world generation with dozens of new biomes including mesa, mega taiga, roofed forest, sunflower plains, ice plains spikes, and many more. It also added stained glass, new flowers, packed ice, podzol, red sand, and command blocks for adventure maps.
This version is remembered as a landmark update that transformed Minecraft exploration. The sheer variety of new biomes made every world feel unique and encouraged players to travel further than ever before.
Some servers still run 1.7 for its classic feel and established modding community. The 1.7.10 version in particular has a large library of Forge mods, making it the second most popular modded version after 1.12.2.
